Pre- Shelley scalloped cup and saucer

Exquisite antique scalloped cup and saucer by Wileman Foley, pre-Shelley, dates to circa. 1888.

As beautiful as it is rare, this cup is in perfect condition with untarnished gilt gold handle and trim.

Decorated in powder blue with contrasting white inner bowl.

The saucer base has an embossed stamp and the Rd No 115510 and handwritten in gold, the number 4045.

The Daisy shape was was first registered in December, 1888.

This pre-Shelley duo is of exceptional high-quality and is an extremely pretty item.

The cup is 2.5” tall and 3.5” across (including handle). The saucer is 6” in diameter.

Both cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or sign of repair.
