Excellent Antique French Ormulo display Cabinet

A stunning RARE ormolu mounted antique French style display cabinet, which we would date from around the 1930’s period.

IMPORTED FROM FRANCE

Ormolu mountings are fine quality cast mounts typical of French or 'French style' antique furniture. They were also used for the decorative mountings of clocks, lighting devices, and porcelain. The manufacture of ormolu employs a process known as mercury gilding or fire gilding.

It is of lovely quality, with a finely made curved glass front and sides. The wood has stunning gilt bronze mounts all over and the lower section has three beautiful inlaid.

The cabinet came with 2 glass shelves

Condition report:
The condition is fantastic for its age, with only some extremely minor wear here and there.
