These are a pair of hand-painted porcelain military figurines, depicting soldiers from the Napoleonic era of French history. The key identifying feature is the large, gilt-edged 'N' symbol on the base of each figure, typically inscribed within a laurel wreath, which is a common mark used on collectibles that reference Napoleon Bonaparte and the French First Empire (1804–1814 and 1815). They appear to be made by a European manufacturer. The figures wear elaborate, colorful uniforms—one predominantly red and white, the other a darker red/maroon—with tall hats (shakos or bearskins) and carrying accessories, which would correspond to specific historic French regiments like the Grenadiers de la Garde.
