The Spode "Cutty Sark Plate" is a piece of fine bone china made in England in 1969 to commemorate the centenary of the famous clipper ship's launch on November 22, 1869. Produced by W. T. Copeland & Sons Ltd. (Spode) with the cooperation of the Cutty Sark Society, the plate features a central black-and-white depiction of the ship at the well. It is elegantly detailed with a rim of 22-carat raised gold and bears the date and name of the ship, which was once renowned as one of the fastest vessels for the China-to-England tea trade and is now preserved in Greenwich.
