Vintage Hand-Cut Crystal Punch Bowl on Stem Feet with 4 Silver Plated Cups | c.1930
A superb example of vintage European craftsmanship, this elegant hand-cut crystal punch bowl dates to circa 1930 and is presented on graceful stem feet, accompanied by four silver plated cups. A striking centrepiece for the collector or entertainer.
The bowl is crafted from 24% lead crystal (PbO), producing the exceptional clarity, weight, and brilliant light refraction that defines quality crystal of this period. The precise hand-cut decoration is characteristic of the finest European crystal production of the early 20th century.
Provenance & Maker
This piece is attributed to the Sudety Glassworks in Szczytna Śląska, Poland — a factory with origins dating to 1770 in Batorów. Under the ownership of Leopold von Hochberg from 1827, the works were modernised and became one of Poland’s most respected crystal producers, known for both artistic and richly cut household crystal. The factory operated until 2014 and its pieces are now sought after by collectors worldwide.
