Antique big platter by William Ridgway Bell Works

This is an antique Ridgways "Oriental" pattern platter. It is a blue and white transferware serving dish from the 19th century. 

The "Oriental" pattern features a central scene with romantic landscapes and classical architecture, framed by a border of floral cartouches

• The platter is a stoneware piece and is part of a larger series of blue and white ceramics.

Manufactured by William Ridgway Bell Works Pottery in England.

Roughly dates to the mid 19th century. The platter itself depicts tranquil scenes with a delicate scalloped edge. All decorated in a blue and white transferware.

The platter is stamped ‘oreintal’ The use of the beehive mark, as well as the simple "WR", distinguishes this Bell Works pattern
In good condition. There is one chip to the side, which is reflected in the price. There is a small discolouration spot, please see photos of both imperfections before purchase.

Dimensions are 17 inches in length and 13.5 inches in width.
