The structure of the stool would indicate that this stool dates from the early 1800s and possibly a little earlier judging by the joints and the way in which the framing has been constructed.  

55.5 cms length x 40.5 cms maximum depth from front to back x 48 cms maximum seat height.

A very stylish and functional piece of furniture that is well made and is of a good size that it will suit most rooms in the home. 

 There are some minor signs of age, consistent with a used item such as this. Overall, this is a nice piece, although I have taken photos of a small areas of wear and usage which has undergone an honest repair to the fabric.
