An elegantly shaped porcelain cup with colourful Imari-style floral decoration, attributed to Coalport of the Georgian period. Cobalt-blue leaves and scrolling stems mingle with coral-orange and pink blossoms, green foliage and fine gold detailing against a pale ground.
The decoration continues inside the cup, creating an intricate floral view from above. A shaped handle, gently flaring body and raised circular foot complete a piece that lends itself beautifully to display in a cabinet of early porcelain.
