Antique Dutch Transferware Pitcher – Société Céramique Maestricht '4 Saisons' Pattern, c.1880s

A beautiful antique ceramic pitcher by Société Céramique, Maestricht (Netherlands), bearing the maker's mark for the '4 Saisons' (Four Seasons) pattern. Dating to approximately the 1880s, this piece is a fine example of the Dutch transferware tradition that rivalled English Staffordshire pottery of the same era.

The bulbous body is decorated in rich brown transferware featuring two distinct botanical scenes — one side displaying roses, trailing vines, and a bird perched among branches; the reverse showing large Virginia creeper leaves and berries. The collar is finished with a geometric border typical of the Aesthetic Movement period.
